Bagley Streetscape Art Installation

The City of Detroit’s Departments of Public Works and Planning and Development, in partnership with Design Core Detroit, created an Open Call For Artists for a Streetscape Public Art project. This project is funded by the Knight Foundation, and local Detroit artists have been selected to create the public art installation. The goal is to strengthen the urban character and identity of Detroit's neighborhood commercial corridors, and ensure that Detroit community and neighborhood history and culture, are reflected in the new streetscape improvement/road bond program.

Please join us for a conversation with the selected Artist for the Bagley Streetscape Public Art, Elton Monroy Duran, about the upcoming public art work for Bagley Street near the 1-75 Service Drive in Mexicantown. We would like to hear your feedback about what you would like to see represented in the public artwork that will be created.

There will be two opportunities to join us for a zoom conversation with the artist. Please subscribe below and indicate the date that you prefer. You will receive an email with a link for the zoom meeting.
